Lambton County Schools...

Crystal, Robin, and I are on the road in Lambton County this week. So far we've covered three schools plus a program for Lambton Wildlife. Two more schools and a community program on Walpole Island will round out the week. We've talked to lots of kids about fox snakes, Blanding's turtles, and other reptiles found in the region, and they've been pretty excited to learn about them!

We are camping at Pinery Provincial Park during the week, and would like to thank them for supporting our project by providing a complementary campsite. It is a pretty neat place, and home to some interesting reptile species, but unfortunately it is a little chilly for us to see any of them. This is actually the first time we've had the trailer on the road in relatively cold weather conditions, and we're happy to report that so far things are going well.

We have almost completed some new educational materials about Ontario's reptiles, and hope to have them available as free downloads from our website sometime soon!
