Sarah B's house!
Posted by Jeff Hathaway on July 30, 2007 at 3:48 PM
After a wonderful sleep in a luxurious bed that Sarah Jane's grandparents had given us to sleep in, we awoke to packing animals, preparing the Eragon (the van) and the trailer. We drove out to Sherbrook where we had our first show of the day. It was a great group over all, they were very enthusiastic about all of the animals we brought with us, gasping at each one as we brought them over to talk about them.
We spent part of the day after the show at Sarah B's aunts house, taking a leaisurly swim in the pool (so refreshing on such a hot day) and then we had dinner. The two Sarah's stayed behind to work on blog enteries as Jeff and I took off to Canadian tire. We had an appointment for Eragon to fix all that was wrong with him. It seemed to have worked, once we left the store we were able to start Eragon on the first try (WHOOOOOOO!!!)
Later on that afternoon we packed up and headed to Frontenac for our presentation. After getting tied up in some odd directions we managed to get there. A group was waiting for us and was really relieved when we showed up. After the show we were ready to head to our campsite- only to find out they had given us a Chalet!!!! WHOOO! we were all very excited about the idea! So we drove down to where it was, opend the trailer to grab our stuff only to find broken eggs spagetti sauce, and ice cream all over the floor. We were not happy but got it all cleaned up in good time, supper was cooked and then we went to bed.
The next morning was Sarah B's Birthday (Happy Birthday Sarah!!!) and we were all up early to head to a show at 9 in her home town. After the show we all returned to her house and slept. It was a late night and a very early morning. I finished Harry Potter that night (WHOO HOO!!! SOOO good!) now Sarah Jane is reading it. Sarah B's Parents threw her a surprise party, which was really fun since she got to see all of her friends!! She was super happy!
Saturday morning was another show, this time in Ste-Marie. It was really great to see everyone there so happy about snakes by the end, as some were nervous about it when we first started. After some lunch and a nap, Jeff fixed our infamous fridge that has been causing us so much trouble. We were using duct tape (the great Canadian fix everything tool) but he installed a bungee cord system that is not going to go anywhere! Sarah Jane also organized the trailer and van and I was on the demolition crew (we let Sarah B spend the time with her family!), I took apart a few things in the trailer that were not working for us.
We are heading to the maritimes!!! We head into New Brunswick tonight for our first shows that we are doing tomorrow. It will be exciting as with that comes SEAFOOD! (mmmm......fresh Seafood!), good music, and kitchen parties! We are all off to finish van modifications, pack up our things and finish some paper work that desperatly needs to be done.
Smiles and Laughter
