Day 8: A slow day for a change...

We headed back to Ontario to finish the week off! After leaving the park, we stopped and to find the “wasp glove”. Sarah Jane took a few pictures then brought it back as we did not want to litter, and felt that we would eventually need it again.
Our only program of the day, in Seeley’s Bay, was a small crowd at the library, but we had a lot of fun interacting with everyone! We ended up with 12 people, but they were definately interested in the reptiles. From there we went to do a bit of shopping and then returned to Murphy’s Point Provincial Park for the night.
Upon entering the trailer we realized that we had another earthquake but this time all of the fridge contents fell out and all the left over containers opened and spilled rice and juice everywhere. The first thing we did was some super floor washing. But it was raining out so every time we went out we dragged in more mud…I am not sure how efficient we were but at least the floor was only dirty, not sticky. On one our trips from the trailer to the water tap, we noticed a small Spiderman action figure, which seemed to be wrestling a fishing lure, in the hollow of a tree on our campsite, so Sarah Jane (our avid photographer) snapped some photos of it.
It was a relaxing night since we knew we have a few busy days ahead of us. We spent it mostly on the phone and writing letters to catch up all the people at home on what has been going on.
Smiles and laughter,
Mary Ellen
